Types of Lift Kits:
Leveling Kit: These kits correct the factory “rake,” where the front end sits lower than the rear. By using spacers, a leveling kit raises the front to match the rear, providing a balanced ride height.
Spacer Lift / Budget Boost: This lift involves installing polyurethane blocks above the coil springs or longer shackles on leaf-spring vehicles. While effective for enhancing appearance and fitting larger tires, it’s not ideal for off-roading and can result in a stiffer ride. Longer shocks are recommended for this type of lift.
Body Lift: This kit raises the body off the frame and adds clearance.
Suspension Lift: Replacing the suspension components is the most comprehensive way to lift your Jeep. With numerous heights, brands, and components available, it’s essential to choose a kit that aligns with your specific needs.
Long Arm Kits: This advanced suspension lift replaces the control arms with longer ones, improving both off-road performance and on-road ride quality.
Snake Jaws: This is a completely different type of leaf spring suspension than what you’re used to. The concept is designed to provide more “flex” in a leaf-sprung vehicle. Conventionally, a leaf spring suspension has limited movement due to the shackle design. A Snake Jaw replaces the shackle, allowing for significantly greater movement in the suspension.
