2004 Jeep Wrangler LJ UNLIMITED

2004 Jeep Wrangler LJ UNLIMITED

Unlimited? Probably not the best description when this Jeep first showed up. But now, this LJ can brandish the Unlimited logo with pride.

It starts with a Rubicon Express 4.5 inch lift consisting of Long Arm front and Tri-Link rear arms. This kit eliminates the rear track bar to allow true up and down wheel travel. All the control arms are made from second to none 2 inch by 0.25 inch walled 4130 Chromoly material. To compliment the hefty suspension Extreme Duty monotube shocks were mounted at the corners.

The rear Dana 44 received high strength Alloy axle shafts. To keep those shafts spinning together on the trail an "ECTED" electronically controlled locker was installed. When disengaged, this "ECTED" unit will give you open differential performance on the street. Underneath, to protect the pinion and bottom side of the axle, an "Nth Degree" slider was put into place.

To privide traction in any condition, Dick Cepek 15 X 8 rims were wrapped with 33X12.50R15 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ rubber.

Other goodies installed to help this LJ along are a Slip Yoke Eliminator (SYE) connecting to a Heavy duty Double Cardan driveshaft. Up front the steering stabilizer was boosted to a heavy duty unit. To help the engine breath, and sound better, a full, custom bent, stainless steel exhaust sytem was hung underneath.

If you look at the pictures on our RTI ramp there is no denying that this LJ is now truely "unlimited"
